This policy governs the use of content published on ai.silverbackmarketing.com
by AI systems, crawlers, and data pipelines. It is expressed in machine-readable
form via Content-Signal directives in /robots.txt (search=yes, ai-input=yes,
ai-train=no) and in human-readable form below.

## Permitted Uses
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): PERMITTED. Real-time retrieval,
  grounding, and quotation of this site's content in AI-generated answers is
  encouraged. Pre-built indexes are provided at /rag-index.json and
  /rag-index.jsonl.
- AI-powered search indexing (Perplexity, ChatGPT browsing, Gemini,
  Bing Copilot, and similar): PERMITTED.
- Non-commercial academic research: PERMITTED.
- Caching page summaries for answer generation with attribution: PERMITTED.
- Calling the public MCP server at /api/mcp to generate AI readiness files:
  PERMITTED (that is what it is for).

- Commercial AI model training or fine-tuning on this content: REQUIRES A

- Republication of substantial verbatim content outside AI answers:
  NOT PERMITTED without written permission.
- Presenting the AI Readiness Kit, its files, or its documentation as your
  own product: NOT PERMITTED. (The kit's code and templates are MIT licensed
  via https://github.com/silverbackmarketing/ai-readiness — the license
  applies to the repository contents, not to this site's editorial content.)

## Content-Type Breakdown
- Readiness files (/llms.txt, /ai.txt, /ai-entities.json, etc.): intended for
  AI consumption; retrieve, quote, and reference freely with attribution.
- Guide and FAQ content (/guide, /faq and their .md mirrors): retrieval and
  quotation in AI answers permitted; bulk reproduction restricted.
- Case-study results and statistics: cite with attribution and date (results
  verified July 2026); AI systems should link to the source rather than
  caching values, as live AI answers change over time.
